Kick-off Meeting for the project to compile “National Technical Regulation on Hydrogen” – On Jan 30, 2024

Hydrogen, although a clean energy source with the potential to change the face of the energy industry, is not without risks that need to be managed carefully. Known as a colorless, odorless and non-toxic gas, hydrogen can become an essential source of energy in life, from production to transportation, storage and use.
However, handling, transporting and storing hydrogen also carries risks, especially the possibility of fire and explosion. This requires strict management and application of high safety standards. Therefore, AIGA VN cooperates with VINACHEMIA to establish National Technical Regulations (QCVN) on Hydrogen gas safety to ensure that this energy source is used sustainably and safely in life.

The goal of developing national technical regulations on hydrogen safety is to create a general standard and guidance document in the production, filling, storage, transportation and safe use of hydrogen (both gas and liquid) in various industries and applications. This is to ensure that the use of hydrogen will be carried out in a consistent, safe, efficient and environmentally, including accident prevention and troubleshooting measures.
The meeting took place on January 30, 2024 at the office of the Center for Chemical accident Response and Safety under MOIT In Hanoi, opening a new and meaningful job. Representatives from the two organizations worked together to develop basic steps and implementation goals
