A 16-year-old girl from Phu Tho province is now paralyzed from the waist down after inhaling 15 nitrous oxide-filled balloons over course of 3 days The patient was diagnosed with: Subacute peripheral nerve damage due to laughing gas abuse. Treatment was prescribed with neurotransmitter-enhancing drugs and high doses of vitamin B12. After 10 days of treatment, the patient’s health stabilized, and she was discharged from the hospital |
