HYDROGEN PROJECT: First meeting: Alignment on Implementation Plan _ Oct 23, 2025

The project “Development of the National Technical Regulation on Hydrogen Safety in Production, Filling, and Storage” has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) for implementation during 2024–2027, led by the Center for Chemical Accident Response and Safety (CARS) under the Vietnam Chemicals Agency, MOIT.

This will be Vietnam’s first technical regulation dedicated to hydrogen and safety, marking an important milestone in the nation’s green energy development strategy toward 2030 and contributing to building a safe, modern, and sustainable chemical and industrial gas industry.

Following the kick-off meeting on January 30, 2024, CARS and AIGA Vietnam held the first official working session on October 23, 2025, to align on cooperation plans, implementation contents, and task assignments between both parties.

In this project, AIGA Vietnam acts as the key technical partner, providing international standards, reference data, technical documentation, and safety experts.
The goal is to develop a harmonized and practical regulation that aligns with global best practices while fitting Vietnam’s industrial context.
