Next seminar in the 2025 Project “SAFETY WITH TOXIC GASES”

With the approval of the Department of Foreign Affairs – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Jun 12, 2025, AIGA VN, in collaboration with the Vietnam Chemicals Agency, organized a seminar titled “SEFETY FOR N2O AND NH3”. The goal was to share knowledge and provide guidance to enhance safety awareness regarding N2O and NH3 gas.

The seminar featured opening remarks by Mr. Bui The Cuong – Deputy Director of the Chemical Incident Response and Safety Center, Vietnam Chemicals Agency (VINACHEMIA), and Mr. Erik Mota – Chief Representative of AIGA VN.

This was followed by technical presentations and a Q&A session. The technical presentations were delivered by experts from AIGA VN member companies:

  • @Pham Manh Cuong (Messer Vietnam Companies)

  • and an expert from AIGA Asia: @Mathilda Loh (Linde PLC – Asia).

The seminar attracted 113 participants (online and offline), including HSE professionals, individuals involved in Production, Maintenance, Product Delivery & Transportation, Customer Service, and Corporate Management from AIGA VN member companies, as well as relevant domestic and international organizations.

The seminar was successfully conducted and received highly positive feedback from participants. Some of the comments included:

  • The seminar content met expectations (90%)

  • The quality of the presentations and speakers was excellent, with clear and easy-to-understand delivery

  • The seminar helped participants enhance their knowledge of N2O and NH3 (100%)

  • The interactive session on N₂O safety was lively and highly effective. The organizers posed key questions to the audience, who submitted their responses in real time via an online platform. All answers were displayed on screen for open discussion. Participants also had the chance to answer quiz questions and receive small gifts.

  • Notably, representatives from the gas industry and leaders from the Chemicals Agency responded directly to the audience’s questions and shared their regulatory perspectives and future directions. This session brought together diverse, practical viewpoints and helped reinforce the safety message across the broader community.
